About Us
The Oriana Singers sing regularly at Cathedrals all over England - we have sung at every Cathedral in the country.
What we do
We sing music from the 16th Century to the present day, with a strong interest in Renaissance Church music by composers such as Byrd, Tallis and Palestrina. We aim for thoughtful, musical peformance of the regular services and psalms. We pride ourselves on combining high standards with friendliness. We welcome invitations to take part in Cathedral and other services.
We plan our main schedule well in advance, but we are also sometimes available to sing at Weddings and other events on the Kent and Sussex borders.

Singing with Orianas
We regularly recruit new members by audition. We are looking for skill in singing and reading music, as well as committment to two or three weekend Cathedral visits per year. During these visits, we usually sing the services from Evensong on Saturday through to Evensong on Sunday - three or four services, depending on whether Matins is sung. Besides the privilege of sharing in the worship of God in such wonderful churches, we enjoy the chance to visit England's beautiful Cathedral cities.
We also make one-day visits to Cathedrals and other major churches in the South East, as well as singing at local events such as concerts, and on less formal occasions. We regularly put together smaller groups to sing at Weddings in Kent and Sussex. We are often joined for particular events by young singers interested in broadening their experience of English Church music. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in Rusthall. Our annual subscription is £15.Please contact the Musical Director if you are interested in an audition.
